Here we chat with Steve about his love of the Midnighter character, the progress of that book, what's next for Supergirl, and he opens up about the outlook of mainstream comics despite losing two prominent LGBTQ solo titles (Midnighter and Catwoman).

Court of Nerds Episode 57-A: The Nintendo NX

It all started with a simple statement from Gamestop COO Tony Bartel: the new generation of consoles is "imminent."

He clarified his statement to include the PS4.5 (or PS4K), the XBox One.5, and the Nintendo NX.

And then there was the little piece of news from a month ago saying Nintendo was discontinuing production on the Wii U, making the rumors a lot more likely.

So when are we going to see the new console? What games are likely to be available at launch? Are we ever going to see the new Legend of Zelda game?

Court of Nerds Episode 55: Damn Good Carrots (the Kaare Andrews interview!)

Grant kicks things off with books (NOT MOVIES) - Arriving in stores this week with much anticipation is Ta-Nehisi Coates' and Brian Stelfreeze's Black Panther from Marvel. GET PUMPED; Midnighter will be drawing to a close (which is horrible); and Tom King will be doing Tom King things with Vision #6. Prepare your hearts!

Jon gets into the thick of movies next - The drop from Friday to Friday for BvS: Boots of Krampus has been a magnificent fall. Historic, even; Soooo, the Last of Us movie adaptation has stalled. Because reasons. BOO.

Emily hopes into TV with a slurry of ambivalent feeeeelings! - One of Comedy Central's greatest programs, Drunk History, has been renewed!; There's gonna be a Doctor Who spinoff (yay!), without any Doctor Who characters (whaaa?); Sharknado 4 is happening. Hold on to your butts. 

Gregg goes balls into games - PS4 owners, get ready to do your games wherever the hell you want to; the World is ready for another Kratos v Gods game...ESPECIALLY if he's taking on the Norse pantheon; Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay and game footage has leaked. Hope you're wearing your brown pants.

We were joined by one of our favorite artists/writer/creators in comics, Kaare Andrews! 

Kaare gives us the low down on his first creator-owned book Renato Jones: the One%, and it sounds FANTASTIC. He goes into detail about his process of developing the story, adhering to his principles, and how he manages his filmwork.

Kaare was also fantastic enough to keep talking shop with us, getting into the nuts and bolts of his Marvel work, his DC hopes, and pushing the boundaries of storytelling!

The Court Of Nerds Episode 54: Batman v Superman Discussion Of Justice

This is the aftermath. The embargoes are lifted and we can FINALLY talk with our friends Bill and Kevin who both had parts on Batman V Superman. These gentlemen had 2 very different experiences on the set of a blockbuster film and recount their time in the thrall of Zach Snyder to us. 

Then we move on to discussing the movie itself and our thoughts on the story, the Planet and the glory that is Wonder Woman.

Oh man, I'd have to say that the best value meal at a fast food joint currently is THIS WEEK ON THE COURT OF NERDS: 

Up first Grant stumbles casually through games - Microsoft planning on cross-network playing with Playstation and PC is absolutely YOOOOOOOOGE; Tom Clancy's the Division is tearing shit up upon its release, with the potential to gain even more players; Grant is still playing Arkham Knight just to figure out with the Knightfall Protocol consists of. Poor guy. 

Gregg saunters up for movies - somehow he tried to talk games via movie adaptations; Daisy Ridley in talks to be the next Tombraider? AHIGHT; Indiana Jones 5 is happening. Prepare for Indiana Jones and the Complaints About Young People. Braven gets HEATED. 

Ambling up next is Droo with BOOOOOOKS - mostly it's a bunch of new releases, but dey allllll gooood. 

Lastly lil' Benzo gives the gift of gab with TV - Gotham may be getting a spinoff...and it could be good?; Robert Kirkman is getting another TV show based on his creepy-ass book Outcast; Conroy. Hamill. CONFIRMED. 

And mercifully, we're joined by an honest-to-God expert on things, Shorty Award-winning Jeff Barrett! Mr. Barrett comes in courtesy of his wonderful show, the BarrettAll podcast, where he discusses marketing, social impact, and a bunch of other interesting stuff you wouldn't ususally find on this hot mess.  

Also? His hair really looks damn good.

We were pleased as punch to welcome back Justin Jordan, he of the mighty beard and wicked new series: 'Strayer' from the brand-spanking-new Aftershock Comics imprint! 

Justin indulged us with plenty of Strayer talk (issues 1 and 2 are currently on shelves and fucking fantastic), some new info on 'Luther Strode,' and as always provides some poignant inside knowledge on how building and maintaining a career in comics can be a lot of hard work.
