Gregg broaches the topic of the electronic games medium - OH SNAP, are things changin' at Microsoft? In a good way?; Pokemon: GO is coming, and people are losing their MINDS; Moar Pokemon? MOAR POKEMON! Loogit this new Sun/Moon shit!; Also, this bar looks like the greatest thing since shoelaces developed aglets! 

Grant gets wacky bo jacky with films - Joseph Gordon-Levitt out of Sandman? SAY IT AIN'T SO; Aaron Paul in on the Dark Tower adaptation? SOMEBODY GET ME MY HAPPY BUCKET*; Ridiculously, Marvel Entertainment Poobah Ike Perlmutter once tried to get Iron Man written out of 'Civil War.' Really. 

Lastly, Braven gets down with sequential art - On a somber note, long time Fantastic Four artist Paul Ryan has passed away at 66 years old; The best-selling Spider-Man comic doesn't have Peter Parker in it....okay, that doesn't narrow it down TOO much, but still!; Don't look now, but DC had a better sales month than Marvel. 

*Apparently the Paul rumors may have been a bit premature...

Court Of Nerds 50th Episode Spectacular: I Was A 15 Year Old Girl...

WARNING: The content of this episode is dirty. Like, 18 and up dirty. Like, Deadpool blushed listening to it dirty. Like, if you're easily offended, this shit ain't for you dirty. 

Yes, we realize that we've TECHNICALLY done more than 50 episodes but much like DC and Marvel, we make our numbering up as we go! So since we deemed this our 50th episode, we decided to have a little fun. 

We've got EVERY possible member of the Court on this show PLUS King of the City artist Andy Budnick for an episode we promised over 40 episodes ago...THE FILTHY SHOW! Andy and Grant used to talk about superhero sexy times while working in a restaurant together, so we went all in on the dirty of the Justice League, Avengers and X-men. Plus, we discuss our favorite moments and memories from the first 49(ish) episodes. Kevin also raged against the Street Fighter machine. 

We were also joined by DC Comics inker Mick Grey, one of the first big guests to ever join the show! Mick talked about inking for Neal Adams and his role in DC's Rebirth! 

Court of Nerds SPECIAL: Bioware and the Old Republic!

As we've mentioned about a million times, Bioware is directly responsible for some of our favorite games ever created, and it all started with Knights of the Old Republic. So naturally, when we had the chance to talk about the new expansion for the Old Republic, Knights of the Fallen Empire, with Bioware, we leaped at the opportunity like a puppy straining for a sandwich!

We were joined by Charles Boyd (Lead Designer) and James Ohlen (Director of Design), and we gabbed about everything from Force Awakens tie-ins to the KOTOR-inspired new expansion. Also, THE RETURN OF HK-55!

Court of Nerds Episode 49b: The Legendary Peter David

We've talked to a myriad of amazing creators and artists, but few are as prolific as Peter David. David, who has additionally published over 100 novels AND worked in television, had critically-acclaimed runs on the Incredible Hulk, Aquaman, X-Factor, and is currently tearing shit up in Spider-Man 2099 (the character he created back in the day). You can count the number of creators with his longevity, consistency, and relevance on one hand. 

David put up with our fanboy nonsense and spun anecdote after anecdote, and we can't thank him enough not just for giving us the time, but for all the amazing stories he's written over so long. 

Court of Nerds Episode 49: THE POOLMAN COMETH

Deadpool released this past weekend to absolutely bonkers record-breaking numbers, and of COURSE we saw it multiple times!

In this episode we gab about what we loved about the movie, how it's success will affect Fox's Marvel slate, and what that's going to mean for an overjoyed fanbase. (Hint: Wolverin3 may be Rated R, and we just LOST IT)

Court of Nerds Episode 48b: The Tom "Mawfuggin'" King interview!

Oh, you guys. YOU GUYS. This week we got to talk to one of our favorite writers: Tom King!

King, if you aren't aware yet, is writing 'Sheriff of Babylon' for Vertigo, 'Omega Men' for DC, 'the Vision' for Marvel, and helped develop 'Grayson' into one of the most enjoyable books of the New 52. We talk about his panel formatting, his narrative choices, and a SLEW of other nerdy comic things!

Court of Nerds Episode 47b: the Kay Pike interview!!

Recently, cosplayer extraordinaire Kay Pike has set Reddit on fire with her absolutely stunning body paint - she routinely shows up on the first page of the site with her takes on Nebula, She-Hulk, and Spider-Man. But, did you know she is also an expert in traditional cosplay? Huh? DIDJA? 

We were fortunate enough to have a chat with the delightful Kay, and we talked about her progression as not just a pro body painter, but also as a cosplayer in general....and also about Captain Planet; She's by far and away one of the most interesting cosplayers in the game today.
