Court of Nerds Episode 45: Frog Anatomy (the one with Rick Remender!)

Gregg opens things up with television, and hits on a couple juicy news nuggets: classically handsome Jonathon Schaech (That Thing You Do) cast for classically hideous DC Western icon Jonah Hex for 'Legends of Tomorrow'; Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle is so damn good he's already getting a Netflix spinoff; Nintendo plans on actually utilizing their IPs in more entertainment avenues!

Grant squawks next about comics like a beagle in a blender: HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS 'NOWHERE MEN' NUMBER 7 IS ACTUALLY HEEEEERREEEE; Holy SHIT, you guys. This Harley Quinn overexposure is getting ridiculous; HO-LEEEEE shit! Secret Wars 9 was an absolute triumph!

Droo spills the sexy beans on some movie news: Ryan Reynolds wants R-rated X-Force? UM YEAH LET'S DO THAT; Warner Bros confirms a bit of Justice League concept art IS, in fact, legit; 'Batman: Bad Blood' continues Warner Bros all-out domination of the animated super-hero market. 

Sweet Benzo pulls it all together with some sweet, sweet gaming stuff: Star Wars: Battlefront is pretty kickass, but could/will be a lot better when a couple things happen; London wants to be the Mecca of gaming, and is really putting money where its mouth is...if it were, like, anthropomorphic; No longer will Battlefront-Bundlers have a leg up on the rest of the plebes - formerly exclusive retro Star Wars games are hittin' the market!

Court Of Nerds Episode 43: Holiday Hangover (featuring Justin from Different Breed Comics)

Welcome to another EXCITING and SENSUAL episode of Court of Nerds! Well, not really sensual unless you like shorter dudes or fat hairy dudes. But if that's what you're into, with a hefty helping of nerdery? We're your dudes.

Gregg had double duty this week and all he had for gaming was doodie...ya know, poop. Steam took a steamer over the holidays, Bioware says bye bye to a big game director and MGS continues to release DLC. Gregg also brought us the TV news with the latest trailer for The CW's Legends of Tomorrow (kicks ass), a lack of HODOR news but some other Game of Thrones biz and Punisher and Elektra in Daredevil. 

Jon Kalamazoneuzzo talks with movies with all the records broken by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the leaked potential X-Force line up and the DC Movie-verse dates lacking one caped crusader.

Drew had comics this week and talked about a lot of GREAT new releases...that Marvel and DC pushed back a week. Be sure to check with your local shop BEFORE heading out because sometimes kids, the internet LIES. Also a heartwarming story about helping the co-creator of Moon Knight.

Justin Bartz from Different Breed Comics also joined us this week. We caught up and talked about some of the struggles of publishing your own book, Project Shadow Breed, the joys of world building and a little D and D. 

PLUS after we recorded this episode, Justin received an email that could be VERY big for DBC and Project Shadow Breed. Keep an eye out for these guys in 2016.

IT'S FINALLY HERE!! Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters THIS WEEK. Our Force is tingling. To get ready, Grant, Gregg, Jon and Droo broke down the trailers you'll see before the film. They also get into the marketing of Star Wars and personal expectations for the movie. 

Joining the gang this week to offer some expert input is Gavin from Tardy's Collectors Corner (SINCE 1979 Y'ALL). He brings the KNOWLEDGE on Star Wars collectibles and rocks a fly new Court Of Nerds shirt. Then it's everybody's favorite director of marketing and identity at Celebration Cinema, JENNY! YEAH HOORAY! Jenny lets you know you COULD still catch an opening night showing of The Force Awakens and what you can and CAN NOT wear to see Star Wars.

Droo gets his Movies on next, first breaking down Warner Bros' newest trailer for Batman v Superman like it was the fucking Zapruder films... and a hell of a debate occurred; Julian McMahon talks about how want to get back in Doom's armor.

Back to Grant for books, who talks new releases this week, and Marvel brings back Civil War....no no no, not in the movie! THEY'RE LETTING BENDIS DO CIVIL WAR 2.

Gregg and Grant were lucky enough to chit chat with Eddy Rivas, writer on the seminal web series "Red vs Blue," and co-author of "Red vs Blue: the Ultimate Fan Guide." Eddy talks how the show evolves with the game engines, and how he finagled words into Elijah Wood's mouth.

Gregg opens up a can of Games this week - There was almost an Avengers movie tie-in game...but would it have been sweet? Just Cause 3 is huge in scope aaaaaand ...well, how is it REALLY? And WB Games Montreal is working on not one, but TWO DC project games! TELL ME WHAT THEY ARE YOU SILLY SORCERERS 

We're then graced by two of the hottest new writers in DC's stable: Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly! They talk Hacktivist, the REAL best Robin, a mind-bending table-top gaming experience, and WHO IS THE MYSTERY VIGILANTE THEY BROUGHT BACK TO THE NEW 52???

Wrapping things up, Grant pours one out for his homies who fell in love with Secret Wars.
