Coming your way this time, we have Gavin from Tardys to talk about every comic afficionado's dream: owning a comic book store. Gavin talks the transition of ownership for this historic shop, as well as Tardys plans at the GRCC! (also: unfairly tempting Grant)
Additionally, Droo and Grant get to bask in the glow of the wonderful Karen & Darrin Brege, author and illustrator of the Mick Morris series! Besides being a fantastic creative tandem for print, Karen and Darrin also bust out a few uncanny impressions to boot.

This week on the Court of Nerds, we prepare for the third annual Grand Rapids Comic Con! We chatted with GRCC maestro Mark Hodges last week, and to start things off this week we talk to Charley from the Vault of Midnight, and figure out what their plans are for the con!
Next up we bring back our pal, the King of the City, Andy Budnick! As per usual things get gross, so NSFW, but Andy also talks about the artists' point of view for cons, which is really insightful.

If this were an afternoon special, it'd be, "Keep it Local: the Mark Hodges Story."
Here we get a hold of Mark for the last time before the 2015 Grand Rapids Comic Con, and he really brings the Knowledge Bombs. We talk successful cons, how to get amazing guests (AKA how in the world comics legend Neal Adams got into this year's show), and what to expect in the future.
Hodges always brings insider knowledge to these, and it's no different this time when he delves into detail as to how and why he's kept everything so local with this con, from the participants to the cosplayers to the food.
This was absolutely a blast!

THIS WEEK ON THE COURT OF NERDLINGS
First things first: Jess just got back from riding for Wellhouse, so you should be a good person and donate. UNLESS YOU'RE A BAD PERSON.
Gregg, with the courage of a Titan, beat his illness aside to do games this week, and he brought the noise: Far Cry Primal leaked early, and it looks GNARLY; CD Projekt Red is trying to out-Witcher themselves; and finally, WTF is up with Steam consoles and we can only get them from WHERE?
Next up, Jess goes in a direction none of us expected: Fantasy Football. And not only regular fantasy football (which is as nerdy as any War Hammer gamer when you consider the variables), but also into ACTUAL FOOTBALL RPGs. Whaaaaaaat?
Droo breaks down movies, and it's a sweet deal - Black Panther may have a director and a writer, and they ain't bad; Deadpool gets a freaky-good composer for its score; Will Sony/Marvel be cramming Miles Morales into the new Spider-man movie?; and holy shit, WB's Flash movie looks even worse with its proposed directing choice.
Grant mops up comic duty by sharing his pull list. Seriously.

DIS WEEK ON DER COURT OF NOIDS:
On comics we have Grant and Droo talking with Brenda from Vault of Midnight! She brings in a couple new releases, and by golly, you've got to check them out. Archie #3, in which the reader begins to turn against Veronica (UNFAIRLY I MIGHT ADD); From Under Mountains #1, which while beautifully done art-wise, leaves a bit to be desired story-wise; Justice League #44, which sees the Darkseid War ramp up into another gear; and Batman Annual #2, featuring a story that's more Bruce Wayne than Batman (hint: it's a good thing).
Our gal Emily -- cosplay expert extraordinaire -- gabs new costume materials, Cosplay's place at Con,s and the direct correlation between brain power and sexist bastards. Quoth Miz Em, "Worbla got even awesomer for cosplayers, Cosplayers are doing awesome charity stuff because we're the coolest, and people blame cosplayers for everything that's wrong in the world."
Ol' Gregg says goodbye platform exclusive DLC (yay!) and eat a dick Konami (boooooo!).

IN DIESER WOCHE AUF GERICHTS NEEEERDS
Gregg starts out the Games segment talking to WSNX's DJ Mayhem, and they geek out over the new Destiny expansion, the Taken King! Then It's time to talk supporting quality horror games, and how the new Lego Dimensions game will assault your wallet. HIDE YO' KIDS, HIDE YO' WIFE.
Next up Grant tackles TV, and that means lots of dumping on Gotham. CBS' Supergirl releases a new trailer and some photos, and good grief, CBS is also making a show based on a 'Meh' Bradley Cooper movie. /fart noise
Things get REALLY REAL when Ben makes his live podcast debut, and he talks the upcoming newest (yawn) reboot to the Amazing Spider Stark and the absolutely incredible Tokyo Ghost premiere.
Droo wraps things up with Movies! First, he drops knowledge bombs that Colossus and the Vision will have bigger parts in their upcoming films, that Spidey will indeed be a 15-year-old scamp when he makes his newest debut in Avengers 2.5: Civil War, and lastly the Star Wars universe just maybe kinda sorta might have some Hayden up in that piece.

Droo tackles entertainment as whole, going hard at television first: Did Jon Snow know nothing, OR DID HE KNOW HOW LONG HIS CHARACTER WILL BE ON THE SHOW?! Also, Manu Bennett fucks up, and it saddens us. Also ALSO, is Walking Dead going hard after the source material (AKA "What They Should Have Been Doing Since the Start")?
Also, Big Mac tackles movies, with Fox Mutant Maestro Simon Kinberg talks Deadpool sequel (yay!) and Fantastic Four sequel (...wut?). And.......CHRIS NOLAN 'AKIRA' TRILOGY BE STILL MY PANTS
Gregg revisits the epic Pokémon announcement that gave a fan base a collective erection, gabs about the new Destiny expansion, and shines a light on a troll getting banned (good things happen to good people!).
And because you (and we....repeatedly) demanded it, Vault of Midnight hunk Jeff Millard carries the Book segment for us! Black Mask's Space Riders needs yet ANOTHER printing to appease a rabid audience, Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale reunite to produce Captain American: White #1 (sever years after CA:W #0), and tackles Rick Remender's futuristic sci-fi soon-to-be-masterpiece Tokyo Ghost #1.
