Court of Nerds Episode 9: Nate Somehow Snuck Nintendo into this one, too
Wednesday May 13, 2015
Wednesday May 13, 2015
Gregg discussed the awesomely flawed Mortal Kombat X, and how jazzed he is about Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and The Witcher 3. And what the heck is Activision thinking with the new Guitar Hero?
Droo talks about how the Ant Man trailer "nails it," and why Netflix's Daredevil is something you need to drop everything and watch RIGHT MEOW. And if we can nominate the next "cursed" movie, it would have to be Wonder Woman.
Grant slobbered all over Archie vs Predator and the new Luther Strode release. And sad news for the entire comic book world with the passing of the legendary Herb Trimpe.
Unfortunately, Natetendo made a comeback during our Tech segment, much to our combined amusement/sadness. He also mentioned Amazon in some way.
Our open ended question for the week:
Final Fantasy X/X-2, Conker: Live and Reloaded, a new fan-update for Metroid have us thinking: what games deserve an HD release?

In this episode, the gang gets down to the discussing of the Four Pillars (as awkward as it can be), but the real treat is getting Jenny from Celebration Cinema to come in and talk to Droo and Grant, who badger her with Avengers questions.

Nate discusses Starwars: Battlefront, his first foray into League of Legends, and Zelda WiiU's delay.
Gregg talked about Hyundai's self-driving cars, Netflix ending georestrictions, and the fact that Google Fiber is not coming to your town.
FakeDroo discussed Batman Beyond, Marvel 1872, Autumnlands: Tooth and Claw, and Ladyfest and Vault of Midnight's Women in Comics Panel.

Court of Nerds Episode 6: NerdRock! (aka the Aaron Trites from Harmonix episode!)
Wednesday May 13, 2015
Wednesday May 13, 2015
Droo geeked out about Apple's patent on a new camera technology, the tech-recycling app, Gone! going national, and the horror that is Woolly Mammoth re-splicing.
Nate talked about trailers for the new Mission Impossible, Pixels, and Attack on Titan movies. Also, the amazing news that the X-Files is coming back! And why is Jennifer Lawrence not doing any more X-Men movies?
Gregg discussed why Bloodborne's trademark was allowed to expire, The Witcher 3's growing beardiness, and the saddest of the sad news about the Netflix Legend of Zelda series.
Grant is gone! Oh noes! Whatever shall the Court do? Enter FakeGrant, stalwart knight of knowledge and sovereign of anti-slobber.
Our special guest this week is Aaron Trites from Harmonix! Egads! It was an awesome discussion about Rock Band 4, and how and why you should recommend songs for the new game, why you won't see any profane songs, and a little known, not-currently-in-development-Team-Fortress-2-meets-Rock-Band styled music shooter called "Chroma."
Seriously, it was amazing.

Court of Nerds Episode 5: Marvel Catches the Dumb
Wednesday May 13, 2015
Wednesday May 13, 2015
Gregg talks about Apple's new plans for TV streaming, FLYING CARS OH MY GOD, why Steam is getting a failing grade from the BBB, and Microsoft's super dumb idea to re-boot Internet Explorer.
Nate discussed Uncharted 4, and Minecraft's apparent violence.
Droo asks the big question: who would win, Stephen Amell's Arrow, or the damned Batman? And why is Marvel being the dumb about San Diego Comic Con?
Special guests Jess and Gary join Nate for a talk about tabletop gaming!
Oh, and Grant decided not to slobber. It was pretty alright.

Court of Nerds Episode 4: Big Nerd Plans (aka the Mick Gray episode!)
Wednesday May 13, 2015
Wednesday May 13, 2015
Another exciting Court of Nerds podcast (and if not exciting, at least titillating)!
This week in Tech, Gregg discussed the Apple Watch, and why it's destined to fail. Google's inevitable plans to take over the world, and why VoIP apps are not the "new wave of the future."
In Movies and TV, Droo gushed over the (admittedly amazing) new Daredevil trailer, and the Batman vs Robin clip on DC All Access. And then, Sony proves to be biggest buzzkills of them all with the announcement of a new Ghostbusters movie.
Grant, we're quickly learning, loves to slobber. Particularly over the excellent Run The Jewels-inspired variant covers for Deadpool and Howard the Duck. Also, he reviews Big Man Plans, and discusses why it's a heck of a lot better than it appears to be. And, is it time for Deadpool to finally be over? There's an argument.
Since Nate is getting drunk in Chicago, Gregg handled Games this week, too. GTA 5 Heists are now a reality (over a year later). Did they live up to the hype? And what's next for the game's DLC? Gregg reviews the awesome Kickstarted title Valdi's Story: Abyssal City, and then puts the hater hat on and targets Zombie oversaturation.
And DC Comics legendary inker, Mick Gray joins Grant and Droo for a lively discussion about technique, comics history, and inking aesthetics!

Court of Nerds Episode 3: Yes, We Still Have Jobs (the Mark Lago episode!)

Wednesday May 13, 2015
Droo told us what to pick up at our local store this week, including some big #1s and a sad series ending.
Gregg discusses Valve's new VR partnership with HTC, a limitless modding community, and why unnecessary titillation is making Team Ninja fans uneasy.
Nate brought in Mark Lago from GR8Bit Live to discuss his upcoming charity involving the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
And then Grant slobbers over comic book television.
